My Story

I qualified as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor under the CPCAB in 2018 and continue my studies in Mental Health Skills, Substance Misuse, 12 steps recovery ever since.

Born and raised in Romania, I have inter culture experience of living and working in various parts of the world, and have lived in London for over a decade. I bring a deep understanding of intercultural and migratory life experiences and questions of identity, home, and belonging.

As a therapist, my skills of self-reflection help me create a safe space for my clients to share their deepest feelings and experiences  that they sometimes feel have taken over their lives.

My aim is to encourage my clients to explore and grow, while they are recognising and appreciating, they are unique, beautiful individuals.

My Approach

I work with a range of therapeutic models which I tailor to your unique situation. My practice includes humanistic, psychodynamic, person centered.

I also work creatively, using images, stories, dreams and objects, which can be helpful for coming into contact with parts of us that aren’t so easily accessible to conscious thought. Attending to aspects of ourselves that have been in hiding or disallowed can lead to greater wellbeing, freedom and a sense of living more ‘whole’.

The focus, in combining these approaches, is always on what works for you and on building a relationship in which you feel safe and supported. As research has shown, this is the most important ingredient for successful therapy.

Whatever struggle, pain or yearning may bring you here, therapy is a space where you will be deeply listened to and supported, as you make your journey towards more ease and a more fulfilled, joyful life.

I balance a warm receptiveness with rigorous reflection and gentle challenge, drawing on my experience working with a variety of therapeutic approaches.

Ultimately, the attentiveness, compassion and fresh perspectives I offer you in therapy will become things you learn to do for yourself. As you come into a better relationship with yourself, you can gain greater well being, balance, authenticity, meaning, creativity and capacity to weather the storms in your life and the world.
